SPY: how to choose a compact Italian washbasin

SPY is Alice Ceramica's collection of slim, practical washbasins: pieces designed for compact spaces and for bathrooms that do not want to give up design, from a 30 cm basin for a guest WC up to a 141 cm wide basin. Most SPY basins can be wall-hung or placed on a countertop, there are vanity-top PLAN versions, and every size comes in glossy white and in the Alice colour palette. This guide explains how to choose, with the measurements from Alice Ceramica's technical sheets.

The short answer

• For a guest WC or a narrow wall: one of the 11 cm high small basins, from 30 × 30 to the shallow 80 × 25 (only 25 cm deep).
• For a main bathroom: a 46 cm deep SPY, from the square 46 × 46 to the 141 × 46, wall-hung or on a countertop.
• For a vanity unit: the PLAN versions, 81 × 46 and 101 × 46.

Small basins for tight spaces

These SPY basins are all 11 cm high and, according to the technical sheets, can be installed wall-hung or on a countertop. Sizes are width × depth × height:

• 30 × 30: 30 × 30 × 11 cm
• 40 × 30: 40 × 30 × 11 cm
• 45 × 20: 45 × 20 × 11 cm
• 55 × 25: 55 × 25 × 11 cm
• 60 × 30: 60 × 30 × 11 cm
• 75 × 27: 75 × 27 × 11 cm
• 80 × 25: 80 × 25 × 11 cm

46 cm deep basins, from 46 to 141 cm

The larger SPY basins share the same 46 cm depth and 13.5 cm height, so you only choose the width. All can be wall-hung or placed on a countertop, according to the technical sheets:

• 46 × 46: 46 × 46 × 13.5 cm
• 61 × 46: 61 × 46 × 13.5 cm
• 81 × 46: 81 × 46 × 13.5 cm
• 101 × 46: 101 × 46 × 13.5 cm
• 121 × 46: 121 × 46 × 13.5 cm
• 141 × 46: 141 × 46 × 13.5 cm

PLAN versions for vanity units

The SPY 81 × 46 PLAN and SPY 101 × 46 PLAN are designed for a countertop or vanity top. According to the technical sheets they measure 81 × 46 × 13.5 cm and 101 × 46 × 13.5 cm, and they come with one tap hole or without, for a wall-mounted tap.

Countertop-only models

Three SPY basins are listed in their technical sheets as countertop basins, all 12 cm high: the 65 × 35 (65 × 35 × 12 cm), the 60 × 37 (60 × 37 × 12 cm) and the round Ø 40 (Ø 40 × 12 cm). They come in glossy white and the Colore matt range.

Tap, drain and siphon

Every SPY basin is supplied on its own. A colour-matched ceramic Free Flow or Up&Down drain keeps the look all-ceramic, and the round siphon comes in chrome or matt black. See which waste to choose.

Finishes

• Bianco: classic glossy white.
• Colore: matt colours, from White Matt and Black Matt to Sand, Rose and Green Alpi.
• I Lucidi: glossy colours new for 2026 (Pino, Miele, Tabasco, Mirto), on the small basins and the 46 cm deep range.
• Materia: Carrara and Marquinia marble-effect ceramic on the small basins and the 46 × 46 and 61 × 46.

• Measure the wall or vanity top: width and depth (25, 30, 46 cm…)
• Choose wall-hung, countertop or PLAN
• Choose with one tap hole or without (for a wall-mounted tap)
